The Resident Advisory Council is to be a liaison between the residents of Newburyport, the municipality, and the business community addressing business issues that impact the quality of life in Newburyport.

• To bring forth important issues in our community that needs clarity or action from City Hall and/or the business community.
  

• An advisory board whose mission is to listen and uncover the issues pertaining to change within the community.
  

• Give feed back to the resident of Newburyport 
  

• Understanding issues/changes within our community and how they affect the residents.
  

• Responsibility to protect the community interests while maintaining a healthy commerce in Newburyport
  

• .A cooperative checks and balances between business and political issues and community preservation.
  

The Resident Advisory Council (RAC) 
meets the first Wednesday in January, March, May, September and November at the Chamber Office at 5:30 PM.
