The Women's Leadership Connection luncheon series features inspiring, successful, and well-known women speakers.

Leslie Kirwan the Secretary of Administration & Finance for the Commonwealth of MA will be joining us on Wednesday, October 24 at 11:30. Leslie, in addition to telling us about her background and her role in a non-traditional position will also stress the importance of women having a mentor. Location TBA.

Our kick-off speaker in May 2007 was Susan Retik who was widowed on 9/11 and is co-founder of Beyond the 11th. Beyond the 11th supports Afghan widows affected by war and terrorism by funding programs that provide life-sustaining financial and emotional support. http://www.beyondthe11th.org

Former Massachusetts Lieutenant Governor, Evelyn Murphy will be the featured speaker at our Spring, 2008  luncheon. Evelyn Murphy is President of The WAGE Project, Inc., a national organization to end wage discrimination against working women, and Resident Scholar in the Women’s Studies Research Center at Brandeis University, where she has researched and authored a book on women’s wages entitled Getting Even: Why Women Don’t Get Paid Like Men and What To Do About It.
